Bend a headline into an arc, arch, wave, flag, bulge or rise, and fine-tune the bend with a slider.

Warp bends your text along a curve without turning it into an image. You can still edit the words afterwards.

Warp a headline

  1. Select a text element.

  2. Open More β†’ All options and go to Effects.

  3. Switch on Warp, then pick a shape: Arc, Arch, Wave, Flag, Bulge or Rise.

  4. Adjust Bend until the curve looks right. A negative bend flips the direction.

To turn it off, switch Warp off.

Which one when

  • Arc and arch: badges, stamps and curved headlines over a round subject.

  • Wave and flag: playful titles with movement.

  • Bulge: big center-weighted words, like a sale price.

  • Rise: text that climbs toward one side, good for ramp-up energy.

Pair it with

Warp combines well with the Title styles in Layer Styles and Title Styles and with Photo fill. A chrome arch over a photo is a classic poster look.

Or just ask

  • "Arch the headline over the top of the circle."

  • "Make the title wave, with a slight bend."

  • "Bulge the word SALE and give it a sticker outline."

Good to know

  • Very long lines bend more than they read. Keep warped text short.

  • You can edit the words any time. Double-click the text as usual.
