Edit and Export a Multi-Page Document

Move between pages, respect the safe margin, add or remove pages, and export a print-ready PDF at 300 dpi.

Once the AI has designed your document, you edit it in the same editor you use for images and carousels. A few things behave differently because it's built for print.

The editor speaks in pages

Where a carousel says "slides", a document says pages. The header chip shows the total ("4 pages"), the canvas indicator shows where you are ("Page 2 of 4"), and the export popover uses the same wording. Scroll or use the page controls to move between them.

Under the hood a document is one wide canvas, just like a carousel. That's why you can drag an element from one page to another, and why a background can run across pages.

The safe margin

Every page has a dashed safe-margin guide drawn on it. Printers trim slightly differently from one machine to the next, so anything important that sits outside that dashed line risks being cut off.

Keep your headlines, body copy, contact details and logos inside it. Backgrounds and photos can run right off the edge, that's fine and usually looks better.

Adding and removing pages

Ask the AI ("add a page after page 2", "remove the last page") or use the page controls. Adding a page widens the canvas, removing one shifts the later pages up.

Exporting

Click Export. For documents the popover defaults to Multi-page PDF at 2×, which works out to 300 dpi, the standard for commercial printing. Leave it there unless you have a reason not to.

  • Multi-page PDF gives you one file, one page per page, in order. This is what you send to a printer or attach to an email.

  • Separate images are available if you want to post a page to social or drop one into a deck.

  • 1× is fine for a screen-only PDF and gives you a much smaller file.

What documents don't do yet

Worth knowing before you send something to a commercial printer:

  • No bleed or crop marks. If your printer requires them, add them in a PDF tool afterwards.

  • No CMYK. Exports are RGB. Colors can shift slightly on press, most noticeably with very saturated blues and greens.

  • No fold marks for tri-folds and similar.

  • No single-page documents. Minimum is 2 pages. For a one-pager, make an image at a print size instead.

  • No custom pixel sizes. You pick from the print presets.

For home printing, office printing, and digital PDFs, none of that matters. For a professional print run, check with your printer first.
