How Credits Work

Krumzi credits are usage-based: what costs credits, what's flat-priced, when credits reset, and how to check your balance.

Credits are how AI work is paid for in Krumzi. Manual editing, exporting, and organizing your designs never cost credits. AI work does.

Credits are usage-based

When the AI designs or edits for you, the charge is calculated after the fact from the actual work it did. A short, simple design costs less than a long, complex one. A long back-and-forth conversation costs more than a couple of focused messages, because the AI re-reads more context each turn.

A few rules that keep this fair:

  • If a turn errors out, it's free.

  • If you press Stop mid-generation, that turn is charged at half.

  • Discarding AI changes afterward doesn't refund the credits, since the work was still done.

Model choice matters too. Heavier models like Claude Fable and Claude Opus cost more per turn than lighter ones like Haiku or Gemini Flash.

Flat-priced operations

Some things have a fixed price:

Failed operations never cost credits. Voice dictation in the prompt box is free.

Two kinds of credits

  • Monthly credits reset at the start of each billing cycle (your renewal date, not the 1st of the month) and don't roll over.

  • Top-up credits come from credit packs you buy on the Billing page, plus any unused trial credits and your activation bonus when the trial converts. They never expire and are used only after your monthly credits are gone.

Check your balance

  • The sidebar shows a credits card with what's left this cycle.

  • Settings β†’ Usage & credits shows your credit ring, top-up balance, next reset date, spend by feature over the last 30 days, and recent charges.

  • Settings β†’ Billing & plan shows this month's usage next to your plan and lets you buy top-ups.

Making credits go further

  • Write specific prompts. A good first result means fewer follow-up turns.

  • Bundle your tweaks into one message instead of five.

  • Set up Brand Kit and Brand Mind so the AI gets colors, fonts, and voice right the first time.

  • Small changes (moving an element, changing a color) are often faster and free by hand in the editor.

  • Use a lighter model for simple edits and save the heavy ones for the first generation.

When you run out

You'll see an out-of-credits notice in the chat. You can still open, edit by hand, and export every design. To keep using AI, buy a top-up pack, upgrade your plan, or wait for your next reset. Trial users can activate their plan early to get the full monthly grant immediately.
