Can't Sign Up With Your Email

Why Krumzi turns away temporary and disposable email addresses at sign-up, which addresses are fine, and what to do if yours was flagged by mistake.

Seeing "Temporary or disposable email addresses can't be used to sign up" when you create an account? Krumzi checked the email domain and it looks like a throwaway inbox. Here's why we do that and how to get in.

Why we check

Your Krumzi account is tied to your email. Sign-in codes, receipts, and password-reset links all go there, so an inbox that disappears after an hour means you'd lose access to your designs. Throwaway addresses are also what people use to grab free trials over and over, and blocking them keeps Krumzi running for everyone else.

What gets turned away

  • Temporary inbox services, the kind that hand you a random address that expires after an hour or a day.

  • Domains registered in the last couple of weeks.

  • Domains that can't receive email at all.

This applies to every way of signing up: email and a code, Continue with Google, and Continue with X.

What's fine

  • Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, Proton, and every other regular mailbox provider.

  • Your own work or business domain.

  • Privacy relays that forward to your real inbox, like Apple's Hide My Email, DuckDuckGo email protection, and Firefox Relay.

  • School and government addresses.

How to get in

  1. Go back to the sign-up page.

  2. Sign up with your regular personal or work email, or click Continue with Google with your everyday Google account.

  3. Enter the 6-digit code we email you, and you're on to picking a plan for your free trial.

Brand-new domain?

If your email domain was registered in the last two weeks, or it can't receive mail yet, you'll see a different message: "We couldn't verify your email domain, so it can't be used to sign up yet." That's common for a business that just set up its website. It clears on its own once the domain is two weeks old and can receive email, or write to us and we'll let you in sooner.

"There's already a Krumzi account for this inbox"

Each inbox gets one Krumzi account. Gmail ignores dots and treats googlemail.com the same as gmail.com, and Krumzi treats a "+tag" as the same inbox on every provider. So if your.name@gmail.com already has an account, signing up as yourname@gmail.com or yourname+work@gmail.com shows There's already a Krumzi account for this inbox. Sign in instead. That's your cue to sign in to the account you already have, with Google, a password or an email code.

Flagged by mistake?

If you're using a real address and still see the message, email hello@krumzi.com from that address and tell us which domain you tried. A brand-new business domain is the most common case, and we can let it through.
