Use Lottie Animations

Search thousands of Lottie animations inside the video editor, recolor them to your brand, and drop them on the canvas.

Lottie animations are lightweight vector animations: confetti bursts, animated checkmarks, arrows, loaders, little characters. They stay crisp at any size and add motion to a video without a heavy video file. The video editor has a built-in browser for them.

Finding an animation

  1. Open the Lottie Browser from the side navigation.

  2. Browse the popular animations, or type into the search box ("confetti", "arrow", "checkmark", "celebration").

  3. Click a result to open the detail view and watch it play.

Recoloring to match your brand

This is the part that makes Lotties usable in branded work. In the detail view, the color editor lists every color used in the animation. Click a swatch to change it. If you have a brand kit, one click applies your brand colors across the animation, and Reset all puts the original colors back. Then click Add to Canvas.

Placing and timing

The animation appears on the canvas and as a bar on the timeline, sized to its native duration. Drag to move, drag the corner handles to resize (no quality loss at any size), and layer it above or below other elements. On the timeline, drag the bar to set when it plays and use the trim handles to change how long it stays on screen. Entry and exit animations, opacity, rotation, and blend modes all apply to Lottie elements too.

Uploading your own Lottie

Have a custom animation from After Effects or LottieFiles? Drop the .json file into the Uploads panel of the video editor. It shows up with your other uploads and adds to the canvas like any library animation.

Good uses

  • Celebration. Confetti or fireworks on a milestone or launch post.

  • Direction. Animated arrows and pointers to guide the eye to a button or product.

  • Confirmation. Checkmarks and ticks next to a list of benefits.

  • Texture. Slow, subtle shapes behind text for backgrounds that move without distracting.

Ask the AI

The AI can search and place Lottie animations for you, and it can recolor them to your brand as it goes. "Add confetti when the price appears" is enough.

Tips

  • Use Lotties as accents, not the main event. One confetti burst is a highlight. Five is noise.

  • Match scale to job. A checkmark belongs small next to text. A confetti burst can fill the frame.

  • Recolor before you add. It's quicker than adjusting after the animation is placed.

  • Test custom uploads in the preview. Most Lottie features render as expected, but very complex files can differ.
