Make Variations of a Design

Got a design you love and need it again with new text? This week's special, the next trivia night, 28 slideshows that all share one look? Make variations keeps the design exactly as it is and swaps in the new content for you.

Make variations

1. Open Visuals and right-click the design you want to reuse, then choose Make variations. You can also select it and click Variations in the bar at the bottom.

2. The AI Designer opens with your design pinned above the prompt box ("Start from: …").

3. Tell Krumzi what the new versions should say. Type it, paste it, or attach a PDF or text file with all the copy.

4. Hit send.

Asked for one version? It opens in the editor so you can see it right away. Asked for several? Krumzi makes them as a batch: you'll see "Making 28 versions", each one fills in as it's done, and the finished set lands in a gallery where you can open or download them.

How Krumzi keeps the look

Krumzi doesn't redesign anything. Each version starts as an exact copy of your design, with your fonts, colors, photos, layout and logo. It copies your slides to fit the new content (a 7-slide version from a 5-slide design repeats your tip slide, for example), swaps the text, and only fixes text that no longer fits.

All new text, or just a few details

• All new text: give Krumzi the full copy for each version and every old line is replaced. Your logo, handle and brand name stay. Anything the new copy doesn't fill is removed, so no old tip or date is left behind.

• Just a few details: say something like "this week's version with Thursday 7pm and a $50 prize". Only those details change and the rest stays. If old dates, prices or names are still on the design, Krumzi tells you which ones so you can check them.

Good to know

• Works for images, carousels and documents. Videos aren't supported yet.

• You can make up to 40 versions in one go. During a free trial it's 10 at a time.

• Photos stay as they are. Swapping in new photos isn't part of this yet, so change them by hand in the editor.

• New versions are saved in the same folder as the original, or in a folder you name in your message.

• Each version uses credits, a lot less than designing from scratch.

• Changed your mind halfway through a big batch? Click Stop. Versions already being made finish, and the rest don't start. Their copies go to Recently deleted, so you can bring them back if you change your mind again.

• PDFs, text files and links in your message all work. Word files can't be read yet, so export them as PDF first.

• If a version hits a snag while Krumzi tidies it up, its card still has Open anyway. The new text is in, it may just need a quick fix.

• In the editor chat you can ask for it too: "make this week's version with Saturday's date" makes a new copy and leaves the one you're on untouched.
