Keyboard Shortcuts and Snapping

The editor is built to be driven from the keyboard once you know a handful of shortcuts. This is the full list, followed by how snapping keeps things aligned while you drag.

Where to find the cheat sheet

There's a keyboard shortcuts button at the bottom of the left side panel in every editor. It opens a small modal with all shortcuts grouped by category, so you never have to leave the design to look one up.

Canvas and AI

Pasting also works with images: copy an image from anywhere and press Cmd/Ctrl + V on the canvas and it uploads and lands in your design. You can drag image files straight onto the canvas too.

Outside the editor

Across the app, press G then a letter to jump around: G V for Visuals, G E for Exports, G K for Brand Kit, G B for Brand Mind, G P for Post Ideas. The command palette gives you the same jumps plus your recent designs.

How snapping works

When you drag or resize an element, Krumzi compares its left, center and right edges (and top, middle and bottom) with every other element and with the canvas itself. When an edge or center gets within a few pixels of a match, the element snaps to it and a guide line appears on the canvas so you can see what it locked onto.

• Snaps to other elements' edges and centers.
• Snaps to the canvas edges and the canvas center, both horizontally and vertically.
• Resizing snaps too, so you can stretch a shape to end exactly where a headline ends.
• Rotation snaps to common angles as you drag the rotate handle.

Need exact positioning instead? Select the element, open the Design panel and type numbers into the Position and Size fields, or right-click and use the Center, Left, Right, Top or Bottom alignment options.

Tips

• Drag slowly near the target and let the guides do the work.
• Combine Duplicate (Cmd/Ctrl + D) with arrow-key nudging to build evenly spaced rows.
• Undo history covers everything, including AI edits, so experiment freely.
