Add and Edit Text

Text is where most designs win or lose. Every text element in Krumzi is fully editable, whether the AI wrote it or you added it yourself.

Adding text

1. Open the Assets tab in the left side panel.
2. Click Add Text. A placeholder text element drops onto the canvas.
3. Drag it where you want it and start editing.

Or skip the clicking: open the AI chat and say "add a subheading under the title that says…". The AI picks a font, size and color that fit the rest of the design, and you can still tweak everything afterwards.

Editing the words

Double-click a text element to edit it right on the canvas. Type your changes, then click outside the element or press Esc to finish. Text auto-fits its box, so if it starts wrapping awkwardly, drag a side handle to widen the box.

Font, weight and style

Select the text element and open the Typography section in the Design panel:

• Font. Search the full Google Fonts library. Curated picks like Inter, Sora, Montserrat, Poppins, DM Sans, Space Grotesk, Playfair Display, Bebas Neue, Anton and Oswald are quick to reach. Fonts you've saved in your Brand Kit are available too.
• Style. The dropdown next to the font lists every weight that family actually supports (Regular, Semi Bold, Bold, Extra Bold, and italic variants where the font has them). Krumzi only shows real weights, so what you see on the canvas is what exports.
• Size. Type an exact pixel value or pick a preset. You can also just drag the corner handles on the canvas.

Color

In the same Typography section, click the color swatch. You can use the visual picker, paste a hex code, or pick from your brand colors, which sit right at the top when you have a Brand Kit. Text can also take a gradient fill, and you can mix colors and weights inside a single text element when the AI builds rich-text runs (for example, one highlighted word in a headline).

Alignment and spacing

• Alignment. Left, center or right, using the three buttons in the Typography section.
• Letter spacing. Tighten or loosen tracking with the slider or type a value. Great for all-caps labels.

Text effects

Open the Effects section for one-click presets built for type: shadows (soft, hard drop, long shadow and more), glows, outline, stroke-only, highlight marker, gradient fill, and punch-out. Shadows follow the actual letter shapes, so a headline never gets a rectangular box behind it. Glass presets turn a text pill into frosted glass.

Layout and layers

The Layout section gives you exact position and tilt. Opacity lives under Appearance. Use Cmd/Ctrl + ] and [ to move text above or below other elements, and the right-click menu for Bring to Front and quick alignment.

Tips

• Two fonts per design is plenty. Use weight, not more families, to build hierarchy.
• Zoom in to check that small body text is still readable at export size.
• Want the AI to rewrite copy without touching the layout? Ask it in chat: "shorten the headline to five words."
