Customize Elements

Use the canvas toolbar and the Design panel to align, duplicate, lock, group, reorder and style any element, and change position, size, tilt, opacity, colors and effects.

Select anything on the canvas and the Design tab in the left side panel turns into that element's control center. This article covers the controls that are shared across element types. Text, images, shapes and QR codes each add their own sections on top.

Selecting

Click an element, or press Tab / Shift + Tab to cycle through elements. The panel header shows the element type and its current size. Press Esc or click empty canvas to deselect.

Panel sections

Sections open one at a time so the panel stays short:

  • Typography (text, counters, captions): font, style, size, alignment, color, letter spacing.

  • QR Code (QR codes): value, colors, transparency, error correction.

  • Layout: exact position, size (width and height for images, shapes and emojis), and tilt in degrees.

  • Effects: the presets grid, described below.

  • Appearance: opacity from 0 to 100%.

  • Media (video elements): volume, speed, loop and trim.

  • Alignment: Center H and Center V buttons to center the element on the canvas.

Effects

Every effect is a preset with a live preview tile, so you can see the result before you click:

  • Shadow: soft, hard drop, long, inner, colored, floating, close.

  • Glow: neon, soft, inner, pulse.

  • Blur (images): soft, motion X, motion Y, radial.

  • Glass (shapes and text pills): liquid, frosted, clear, tinted, dark, chromatic.

  • Text: outline, stroke only, highlight marker, gradient fill, punch-out.

  • Fill (shapes and icons): gradient, radial gradient, mesh fill, dotted.

  • Image filters: duotone, vintage, grain, blur background only, high-contrast B&W, cinematic, plus vignette, chromatic aberration, pixelate, halftone, scanlines and film grain with intensity sliders.

  • Blend mode: normal, multiply, screen, overlay, difference, soft light.

  • Border: toggle, width, color and corner radius. Image masks (circle, ellipse, rounded, pill, blob, arch) are applied by asking the AI.

Shadows and glows follow the element's real silhouette, and they stack rather than replace each other, so a glassed blob with a soft shadow just works.

The canvas toolbar

A toolbar floats above whatever you select and changes with the element type: text gets font, size, color, bold, italic, highlighter and alignment; images get Swap, Crop and Corners; shapes get fill, corners and a label button; the background gets your brand swatches and gradients. Every toolbar ends with the same tail:

  • Sparkle asks Krumzi to do something with the selection (see Refine Your Design).

  • Align: six alignments to the slide, plus Distribute horizontally / vertically when three or more elements are selected.

  • Duplicate (Cmd/Ctrl + D) makes a copy just below and to the right, already selected.

  • Delete removes the selection and shows a toast with an Undo button.

  • More: opacity slider, Bring forward / Send backward / to front / to back, Lock, Group, and All options, which opens the Design panel for the deep controls.

Everything in the toolbar tail is also one right-click away: the context menu on an element lists the same Duplicate, Copy, Paste, Delete, layer order, Align, Lock, Group and All options items, plus Fit to slide and Fill slide on images.

Lock and group

Lock an element (More β†’ Lock) when it's placed and you don't want to nudge it by accident: it shows a lock badge, ignores drags and resizes, and its toolbar only offers Unlock. Select-all skips locked elements.

Group two or more elements (More β†’ Group, or Cmd/Ctrl + G) and they behave as one: click any member to select the whole group, then move, resize, duplicate or delete them together. Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + G ungroups. A shape's label is a group like this by default.

Layers

Click Layers at the bottom of the canvas for a card listing every element from top to bottom. Click a row to select that element, drag rows to change the stacking order, or lock a layer from the row. Cmd/Ctrl + ] brings the selection forward one step, Cmd/Ctrl + [ sends it back, and adding Shift jumps to the very front or back. Typical stack: background, shapes, images, text, annotations and emojis on top.

Duplicate, copy, delete, undo

  • Cmd/Ctrl + D duplicates the selected element with all its styling.

  • Cmd/Ctrl + C then V copies and pastes; you can paste into another design too.

  • Delete or Backspace removes it (the toast lets you undo on the spot).

  • Cmd/Ctrl + Z undoes anything, one gesture at a time, including AI edits; the undo button in the header tells you what it will undo. Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Z redoes.

Or just ask

Every one of these properties is available to the AI. "Give the card a frosted glass look", "make the logo 20% smaller and center it", "add a neon glow to the price" all work, and the changes stay fully editable afterwards.

Tips

  • Subtle beats heavy: soft shadow and close shadow look natural; long shadow is a statement.

  • Reuse opacity and shadow choices across similar elements so the design feels like one system.

  • Style one element, then duplicate it, instead of restyling copies by hand.
