Create a Carousel

Generate a multi-slide Instagram or LinkedIn carousel from one prompt in the AI Designer, and understand how Krumzi's wide-canvas carousels work.

A carousel in Krumzi is generated from a single prompt: the AI writes the copy, plans the flow from hook to CTA, and designs every slide so the set feels like one piece. Here's how to make one, and what makes Krumzi carousels different.

  1. Open the AI Designer from the sidebar.
  2. In the type selector above the prompt box, choose Carousel (the other options are Image, Document and Video).
  3. Pick a format: Instagram Square (1080Γ—1080), Instagram Portrait (1080Γ—1350, the default) or LinkedIn Post (1200Γ—1200).
  4. Set the slide count with the plus and minus buttons. Minimum is 2; Instagram carousels go up to 20 slides and LinkedIn up to 10.
  5. Describe the carousel and hit send. You can attach reference images, paste a URL for the AI to read, dictate with the mic, or turn on Search for current facts (1 credit per search).
  6. Watch it build. The AI plans, designs and then critiques its own work. Most carousels are ready in around a minute, and you'll land in the editor with everything editable.

Credits are usage-based: you're charged after the fact for the actual AI work done, so a longer, more detailed carousel costs more than a short one. If a generation errors, it's free.

One wide canvas, sliced at export

This is the part worth understanding. Krumzi doesn't create separate, disconnected slides. It designs your carousel as one wide canvas as tall as a single slide and as wide as all your slides side by side. Dashed guides mark where each slide ends and the next begins, and slide numbers label each section.

That means:

  • A background, a photo or a headline can flow across slide boundaries, which is how the AI builds seamless "swipe to continue" carousels.
  • You can drag any element from one slide to another, or park it right on the seam.
  • Styles stay consistent, because it's literally the same design.
  • When you export, Krumzi slices the canvas into individual slide images (or a multi-page PDF) for you.

Writing a prompt that lands

  • Give it a topic and an angle. "7 mistakes first-time founders make when pricing" beats "carousel about pricing".
  • Name the platform and tone. Instagram vs. LinkedIn changes the voice and density. Words like bold, minimal, editorial or playful steer the look.
  • Say what the last slide should do. Follow, save, comment, visit a link.
  • Feed it real content. Paste your blog post URL, drop in a voice memo, or attach product shots and the AI works from your material instead of inventing it.

Examples:

  • "8-slide Instagram carousel: 8 morning habits of focused people. Dark background, big type, one habit per slide, closing slide asks people to save the post."
  • "LinkedIn carousel, 6 slides, explaining how our onboarding email sequence cut churn by 22%. Data-led, calm, navy and white."
  • "6-slide Instagram carousel for a bakery's autumn menu. Warm, cozy, bakery name on every slide, last slide with opening hours."

Brand and quality

Brand Mind (all plans) steers colors, fonts, tone and phrasing toward your brand automatically. With a Brand Kit (Pro and Ultra), your exact logos, palette and fonts get applied. Not happy with a result? Give it a thumbs-down and describe what's wrong, or just tell the chat what to change: "make slide 3 the hook, tighten the copy on the rest."

Next steps

Once it's generated you can edit any element by hand or in chat, add and remove slides, and export as separate images or a PDF. See Edit Individual Slides and Export Carousels.
