Video Not Rendering

What to check when a video export in Krumzi is slow, stuck, or fails, and how to get it through.

Video exports render in the cloud, frame by frame, and then get assembled into an MP4. That takes a little time. If yours seems stuck or fails, work through this list.

How exporting works

Click Export Video in the video editor, name the file, pick a resolution (720p, 1080p, or 4K) and a compression preset, and start the render. A progress screen tracks it, and the finished MP4 appears with a download button. Successful renders are also listed under Exports in the sidebar.

Video export needs Pro or Ultra (or an active trial). On Starter you'll see an upgrade prompt instead of the export screen.

Common causes and fixes

It's still rendering

Longer videos, 4K, lots of elements, captions, and heavy media all add time. A short clip is usually done in a minute or two; a long 4K export can take a good while longer.

Fix: keep the tab open and give it time. If you need it faster, try 1080p first.

Your connection dropped

Rendering happens on our servers, but the progress screen needs your browser to stay connected.

Fix: check your connection and refresh the editor. If the render finished server-side, look for it under Exports. Otherwise, run the export again.

The design is very heavy

Very long videos, huge uploaded files, or dozens of animated elements can push a render past its limits.

Fix: export at a lower resolution, trim the duration, compress large images or clips before uploading, or split the video into two shorter ones.

One element breaks the render

Occasionally a single element (a corrupt upload, an unusual font file, a broken media link) fails the whole job.

Fix: hide or delete recently added elements one at a time and re-export. If removing something fixes it, re-upload that asset.

A one-off server hiccup

Fix: just try again. Transient failures usually don't repeat.

Browser interference

Fix: update your browser, pause ad blockers or privacy extensions for krumzi.com, or try an incognito window. Chrome, Edge, and Safari are all fine.

Before you export

  • Preview the whole video in the editor first. If it plays cleanly there, it almost always renders.

  • Pick the resolution the platform actually needs. 1080p is right for most social posts; save 4K for when it matters.

  • Videos can be up to 30 minutes long on Pro and Ultra, but shorter renders are faster and more reliable.

When to contact us

Email hello@krumzi.com if the same video fails more than twice, if a render shows no progress for a very long time, or if you get an error you don't understand. Include the design name, the length and resolution you chose, and a screenshot of any error. Failed renders don't cost you anything.
