Use Animated Counters

Add a number that counts up on screen: set the value, prefix, suffix, and confetti, then style and time it like any element.

An animated counter is a number that counts up to a value while the video plays. "10,000 customers" is a fact. A counter climbing to 10,000 is a moment. Use them for follower milestones, revenue, percentages, downloads, anything where the size of the number is the point.

Adding a counter

  1. Open the Assets panel from the side navigation and choose Animated Counter.

  2. Enter the Counter Value. This is the number it counts up to.

  3. Add an optional Prefix (like $ or €) and Suffix (like %, +, or k).

  4. Choose whether the prefix and suffix show while counting or only on the final number, and whether to fire a confetti burst when the count lands.

  5. Add it. The counter appears on the canvas and as a bar on the timeline.

Styling

A counter is a text element under the hood, so the side panel gives you the same controls: font (curated fonts plus Google Fonts), size, weight, color, alignment, opacity, shadow, glow, and the rest. Big, bold, and high-contrast is the rule. The number needs to be readable at every step of the count, not just the last one.

Timing

The count runs across the counter's bar on the timeline. Drag the bar to decide when it starts, and drag its trim handles to decide how long the count takes. A short bar counts fast and punchy. A long bar builds anticipation. One to three seconds suits most social videos.

Give the counter an entry animation (Zoom In or Fade In work well) so it arrives before it starts moving.

Give the number context

A counter on its own is just a number. Pair it with a label ("Happy customers", "Videos exported") as a separate text element above or below it, and consider a card shape behind the pair so it reads as one unit. Confetti on the final number is a nice touch for milestone posts. Skip it for anything serious.

Ask the AI

Counters are part of the AI's toolkit. Describe the stat in the AI Designer or the in-editor chat ("show 250k+ downloads counting up over 2 seconds with a label under it") and it builds the counter, label, and timing for you.

Tips

  • Round to the impressive number. "10,000+" beats "9,847".

  • Use a suffix instead of a huge number where you can. "2.4M" reads better than "2,400,000".

  • Keep one counter on screen at a time. Two numbers racing each other split attention.

  • Line the count's end up with a beat in your audio for a satisfying landing.
